Project: The third recolor of the Dodge Ram SRT-10

One of the things that annoy me is when a company is so close in releasing the color range of a model, then forget to release the last color or colors.  This is the case for the Maisto 1:43 Power Racer Dodge Ram SRT-10.  I have profiled them earlier in red and black, with another variation in a Tonka police truck.  Last year they recolored the Ram SRT-10 in, yet again, black!  What about silver?  Well with the Power Racers back at Wal-mart I snagged one of the black trucks and repainted it to the missing silver color to complete the three colors offered for the Dodge Ram SRT-10 in 2004-2005.

The Ram was covered for the headlights, taillights, and rear plate after disassembling the truck.  The silver paint was a quick swipe or two, followed by a gloss cote.  Afterwards the details were added, with a sharpie, to the front grille and hood scoops and the inside of the dual exhaust tips.  Tape manage to miss some areas around the taillights so I touched it up with some red sharpie.  The inside door panels were masked off to leave the black paint to match the dark gray interior.  The dashboard has some silver trim accents added and detail to the red starter button.  Finally the only item detailed to the base was the rear muffler.  The only areas I couldn't revive was the body logo's, otherwise it looks great with the other two to make it a complete color set of the Ram SRT-10.
